Before you play, DMR predicts who should win from the skill gap. Beat a stronger team and you gain more; an expected win nudges you less. Every point is earned against real competition.
DMR is DinkTap's living skill rating. Every match you play updates it — based on who you played, how it turned out, and how consistent you've been lately. No waiting, no guesswork — just a number that always reflects where your game is right now.
Updates every match · Singles, doubles & mixed · Scale 2.0–10.0
Your rating doesn't live on an island. Every game links you to the players you faced — and to everyone they've faced. DMR reads that whole web of results, so your number reflects real, connected competition instead of isolated scores.
DMR blends three of the most trusted concepts in competitive rating — and lets them work together, so your number is fair the day you start and sharp once you're a regular.

DMR tracks how sure it is about your number. New, or just back from a break? It moves fast to find your level. Playing regularly? It locks in and steadies — so your rating stays honest.
In doubles, DMR weighs each partner's strength and consistency, then shares the result fairly. A great game with a higher- or lower-rated partner still updates everyone correctly.
One match, five moves. It runs in an instant — here's the loop, then a real example straight from the engine.
DMR estimates your win chance from both teams' ratings and confidence.
It measures the result against that prediction — the bigger the surprise, the bigger the move.
Play often and your confidence tightens; sit out and it widens, keeping your rating current.
In doubles, the change is split between partners by skill and consistency.
You get a new DMR (2.0–10.0), an updated confidence band, and your momentum.
Small, earned steps — DMR never inflates. Everyone's confidence tightened too, because the model just got clearer data.
DMR doesn't just guess your level — it tracks how sure it is. The more you play, the tighter the range it's confident your true level sits in.
Your official tournament rating is the one that counts when you compete — and it should be. DMR is built for everything in between: the open play, league nights, and daily games where you actually get better.
