We use a small set of cookies to keep DinkTap signed in, remember your theme, and learn what's working. No advertising trackers, no third-party data brokers — and you can disable anything optional from your browser or our cookie banner.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let sites remember you between visits — for example, to keep you signed in or remember your theme preference. We also use similar technologies like local storage and pixels for the same purposes; for simplicity, we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for a focused set of reasons:
- Sign-in. Keep you logged into your account across sessions.
- Security. Detect and prevent fraudulent or suspicious activity.
- Preferences. Remember your theme (light/dark), language, and other UI choices.
- Performance. Measure load times and error rates so we can keep the Services fast and reliable.
- Analytics. Understand which features people use most — in aggregate, never tied to ad networks.
Types of Cookies We Set
The cookies and similar technologies we use fall into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies can’t be disabled; the rest you can toggle from your browser or our cookie banner.
dt_session, dt_csrf.dt-theme.Third-Party Cookies
A small number of trusted service providers set cookies on our behalf. We’ve reviewed each for privacy practices and the minimum scope of data they receive.
- Stripe — used to process payments securely. Required only when you make a purchase.
- Cloudflare — content delivery network, security, and bot mitigation.
- Plausible — privacy-respecting analytics; no cross-site tracking; no personal data collected.
- Sentry — error reporting and crash diagnostics.
We do not embed third-party content (videos, social widgets, comment systems) that would set additional cookies without your action.
Your Choices
You have several ways to control cookies:
- Use the cookie banner that appears on your first visit to accept all, reject optional, or customize categories.
- Change your preferences any time from Settings → Privacy → Cookies.
- Block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function — disabling them may prevent sign-in.
- Use private/incognito browsing to avoid persistent cookies entirely.
Mobile App Tracking
Our mobile apps do not use traditional browser cookies, but they use comparable technologies (local device storage and SDK identifiers) for the same purposes outlined above. On iOS, you control these through App Tracking Transparency. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID from system settings.
DinkTap does not use the IDFA or Android advertising ID for advertising purposes — we only use them for crash diagnostics and aggregated analytics when you have not opted out.
Changes & Contact
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the cookie banner at your next visit. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
